Crawling from the Wreckage Part 1 of 4
This story continues in part in Doom Patrol #20.
Synopsis:
Following the alien invasion of Earth, Arani and Scott are dead, Rhea is in a coma, Robotman has checked himself into a mental institution, and Larry Trainor is in the hospital. Despite these circumstances, the Chief intends to resurrect the Doom Patrol. Joshua Clay does not want to be a part of it.
Will Magnus visits Robotman at the institution. He introduces her to Kay Challis, a woman with sixty four distinct personalities. Each possesses its own super-power. At the hospital where Larry is being treated, the negative being returns. It fuses with Larry again. This time it also joins Doctor Eleanor Poole into the mix.
While these events are occurring strange incidents are taking place including a car crash. The driver goes up in flames. As he dies he speaks the word scissormen. He was carrying a black book which was not destroyed by the fire. It will be passed along until it reaches Niles Caulder.
