Synopsis:
Danny and his father witness an atomic bomb test in the desert. On the drive back to town after the test, they discover a fissure opened in the ground. Inside the fissure is an underground world in which dinosaurs still exist. A tyrannosaurus emerges and attacks. Danny and Dr. April, a paleontologist riding with them, escape with Rex while Major Dennis confronts the dinosaur. After spending the night hiding, Danny finds his father still alive. They are then forced to take cover in a cave to protect themselves from a second bomb test. The second detonation seals the fissure and vaporizes the T-Rex.
