Synopsis:
Pudge Malone is murdered inside a jigsaw puzzle factory. Before he dies, Pudge leaves a message containing the identity of his killers on the back of a large puzzle. Before the message is found, the puzzle is broken up and dropped from a plane as part of a contest.

The Star-Spangled Kid and Stripesy find one of the pieces and realize that it identifies the killers. They round up the other pieces, one of which is in the hands of the killer Baldy Hines. The Kid and Stripesy then capture Hines and his men, solving the murder for the police.
