Synopsis:
Batman and Robin learn about the legend of King Midas's gloves which could turn objects into gold. The gloves are stolen and used by a crook named George Midas. Batman and Robin confront the crook, and Robin appears to be turned into solid gold.
Batman then discovers that the golden Robin is a fraud. He goes after the crook again and is captured. Midas is actually an ex-magician who is using tricks to make it appear his gloves work.
Batman finds the real Robin and rescues him. They then battle Midas and his gang. Midas was using the legend to cover the robbery of a armored truck full of pure gold. If the legend was believed he could claim that the gold was created by Midas and not stolen. However, Batman and Robin are able to apprehend him and recover the gold.
