Synopsis:
Teenager Joe Baxter gains extra-sensitive hearing after an accident involving explosives. Crooks kidnap Joe and use his hearing to crack safes and to steal valuable secrets. Robin realizes that Joe is being held by the crooks and whispers a message that only Joe can hear. The teenager then distracts the crooks, so that Robin can attempt a rescue. The Boy Wonder is able to call the police for backup and rescue Joe. During the ensuing melee between Robin and the crooks, a gunshot goes off near Joe's face permanently restoring his hearing to normal.
