Star Hawkins is contacted by the government to locate a missing alien envoy who is scheduled to attend important peace talks. While Star conducts his search, Ilda receives word that her model of robot has been declared obsolete. She is ordered to report immediately to a junkyard for dismantling. When Ilda arrives at the junkyard, she finds the alien envoy held prisoner by the junk-master. She summons Star, who comes to the rescue. Star saves the envoy, ensuring that the peace talks will continue. The government also countermands the order to dismantle Ilda, extending her period of usefulness for ten years.
