Clark then goes to school to fight Bash. When a poison gas leak threatens the town, he discovers that his robot was affected by his experiments too and is now weak. A fortunate wind saves the town from the gas.
Clark begins to regret his decision to give up his powers. However, he wins his fight with Bash, then tries out for the football team. Bash tries to get even and is critically injured while trying to tackle Clark. Only an expert brain surgeon can save him.
