Synopsis:
Four teams of heroes have been dispatched to four separate worlds in order to stop the anti-life entity from destroying the universe. On Thanagar, Superman and Orion find that the entity is using mind control to turn the winged warriors against them. On the planet Rann, the people have been struck by waves of incredible madness. Adam Strange the hero of Rann remains unaffected likely due to his Earthly origins. Starfire and Lightray help him track down a bomb created by an aspect of the anti-life entity. Back on Earth, Batman outfits Forager with appropriate fighting gear. He then uses his intelligence network to track the anti-life entity aspect to Arizona.
Finally on the planet Xanshi, J'onn J'onzz and John Stewart find the people afflicted by a plague. John uses his power ring to whip up a cure. He then protects himself and J'onn from weather that has been altered by the entity. Overconfident in his power ring, John leaves J'onn behind only to discover that the entity knows the ring's weakness. The bomb which is about to destroy the planet is yellow. John is unable to stop it, and the planet Xanshi is engulfed in a fireball. The bomb turns the planet into anti-matter and it streaks from orbit into its sun. The collision effectively destroyed the entire solar system. John and J'onn survive, but the Martian Manhunter blames the Green Lantern for the destruction.
Back on New Genesis, Highfather and Darkseid inform Jason Blood that he must once again be joined to the demon Etrigan in order to save the universe. Blood concedes to his fate and merges with the now revitalized Demon.
