Synopsis:
Doctor Thirteen is kidnapped by three criminals who believe the ghost of their former boss is trying to kill them. They bring him to their cavern hideout, where the doctor witnesses one of the men killed by a spectral figure. Bullets fired by the other two have no effect on the ghost. Doctor Thirteen follows it out of the cavern, but eventually he is left behind.

Doctor Thirteen visits Ed Salmon, the former boss of the crooks who is now in an iron lung. The guard claims to have been watching Salmon the entire time. After another of the crooks is murdered, Doctor Thirteen locates the cave again, but he is too late to stop the last crook from being killed. When he is nearly shot, Dr. Thirteen realizes that the crooks have been firing blanks.

Thirteen returns to Salmon who was supposedly shot by the crooks. He proves that the crook was never shot and has been able to escape from the iron lung the entire time. He used a dummy head to fool the guard. However, when Doctor Thirteen tries to confront Salmon, he finds that the crook has already died from a heart attack.
