Synopsis:
Adam Strange catches the Zeta-Beam to take him to Rann. When he arrives, Alanna is not there to meet him, and he is holding a vial of strange gas. Puzzled, Adam travels to Ranagar and finds Alanna. He discovers that he can't remember the last 24 hours.

Sardath uses a device that recovers Adam's memory. Adam remembers that the Zeta-Beam was intercepted by an interdimensional asteroid world. Adam materialized there and learned that criminal inhabitants of that world planned to invade Rann. Adam brought a sample of their gas weapon back to Rann, but lost his memory on the trip.

With his memory restored, Adam gives the gas to Sardath to find an antidote. However, Sardath is convinced that a counter-measure to the gas cannot be created in time. Adam then returns to the asteroid world and battles the criminal invaders. He destroys their gas weapon, but is nearly killed in the process. He is rescued by the authorities of that world, led by agent Korko-Xeo. Adam then returns to Earth when the Zeta-Beam wears off.
