Space Ranger investigates the disappearance of Dr. Vervo and To-Kopo. The trail leads him to two henchmen of an alien named Zru. Space Ranger loses the trail, but Vervo resurfaces as a living robot under Zru's control. Though Space Ranger is unable to stop Vervo, he deduces Zru's next victim.

Space Ranger replaces Jar-Nee, the target of Zru's next kidnapping. He is taken back to the crook's hide-out, but his cover is blown. Zru transforms Space Ranger into a living robot and forces him into service. Cryll is able to temporarily break Zru's control, allowing Space Ranger to defeat the criminal and his gang. Space Ranger and the other victims are restored to normal when authorities from Zru's solar system arrive to apprehend their prisoner.
