Synopsis:
When a building collapses, Mr. Terrific helps to rescue the people inside. Mr. Desmond, the building engineer is seriously injured in the collapse. Before dying he gives Mr. Terrific a cryptic explanation for the buildings failure.

Mr. Terrific visits the engineer's son Paul who explains that contractor Mike Fogarty may have been behing the collapse. They check out the plans and find that they were changed. A bridge, also built by Fogarty is in similar condition. Mr. Terrific outwits Fogarty's men and proves the contractor was a grafter. He is also able to assist Paul to save the bridge.
