Synopsis:
Lois and Clark spend an afternoon relaxing at the beach. They observe a sea captain who has been spreading rumors about a buried treasure. After Clark and the captain leave the beach, Lois finds a gold coin where the captain had been sitting. She decides to pay the captain a visit and return the coin.

That night Lois arrives at the captain's house and sees him digging for treasure. The girl reporter decides to watch him before approaching. Instead of digging up the treasure, Lois notices that the captain is actually burying it.

Suddenly two armed men appear. They demand that Captain Rourke turn over the treasure to them. Lois surprises the gunmen by throwing watermelons at them from atop a hill. When the men try to climb up after her, they are buried in a rock slide. Rourke then explains that he spread the rumors and was burying the treasure to surprise his nephew who is getting married soon. Lois then reports on the story in the Daily Planet.
