Green Arrow injures his ribs stopping two jewel thieves. X-rays show that his ribs aren't broken, but they reveal a spot of radium that will prove lethal in a matter of days. Believing that he is dying, Green Arrow decides to use three arrows that are so dangerous they could result in the death of the archer who fires them. Using the dangerous arrows, Green Arrow defeats a gang of gold thieves. The arrows work properly and Green Arrow avoids death. Following the criminals' capture, he learns that the radium spot was created by a broken watch, and he is in perfect health.
