Synopsis:
Hal Jordan’s older brother Jack is running for Coast City district attorney. Hal, Jack, and their younger brother Jim discuss the campaign at Jack’s house. Hal and Jim agree to distribute a large number of fliers around town, however at the last minute Jim remembers that he is late for an interview with a reporter. Hal agress to distribute the fliers. He does so as the Green Lantern.
Elsewhere, Sue Williams, a newspaper reporter, having seen Jim’s picture in the newspaper, believes Jim is Green Lantern. When Jim arrives for the interview, Sue throws herself off a balcony because she believes Jim will save her. The real Green Lantern arrives in time to rescue her, but she is still convinced Jim is Green Lantern.
That evening Sue visits the Jordan home and witnesses Jack Jordan being kidnapped by two gangsters. She runs to tell Jim, in hopes that he will save his brother as Green Lantern. Hal overhears the conversation and rushes to save his brother. Sue leaves Jim behind and then sees GL fly past.
The gangsters have taken Jack to an empty road to kill him. Green Lantern arrives in time to make the rescue. He delivers the crooks to the police station, where Sue Williams has just arrived. Sue kisses GL while wearing indelible lipstick. It will not come off for 24 hours.
Early the next morning Sue arrives at the Jordan house to inspect Jim for lipstick. He has a bandage on his face and claims he cut himself shaving. Even without seeing the lipstick Sue is convinced Jim is Green Lantern. Jack wins the election, and the real secret identity of Green Lantern is safe.
