Synopsis:
Jimmy Olsen gains super speed after drinking a formula created by Professor Claude. After Jimmy nearly injures himself chasing some jewel robbers, Superman orders him to stay at the Daily Planet until an antidote is found.

Jimmy decides to use his super speed at the Daily Planet to trick Don Dirkson into revealing he is Diamond Dirk, a jewel thief. Jimmy plans to outrace a bullet when Dirkson shoots at him, but his powers wear off. Clark Kent pretends to have taken the formula too, allowing him to use super speed to protect Jimmy and stop Dirkson.
