Synopsis:
A machine is found in Metropolis which begins making predictions and seems to be from the future. It predicts that Superman will prevent a disaster by revealing his secret identity to the prisoners in Metropolis Jail.

Superman believes it is a hoax and seeks to provide evidence by disproving the machine’s other predictions. Each of the prophecies comes true however, and when the time comes Superman goes to the prison.

Instead of revealing his identity to the prisoners, he reveals the man behind the hoax, Professor Martin. Martin created the plot, but Superman discovered a fingerprint that gave the crook away. Thus, Superman successfully protects his secret.
