Synopsis:
Perry’s son, Perry White Jr., has come to the Daily Planet from journalism school. He follows Clark Kent who is on the trail of a criminal, Mr. Wheels. When Clark disappears to become Superman and deal with the crook, Perry suspects Clark is really Mr. Wheels.

Perry expresses his suspicions to his father and tries to prove it by slipping Clark information about a secret gold shipment. Mr. Wheels gets the information too and hijacks the shipment, but Superman has secretly switched planes.

Perry Jr. is now convinced Clark is Mr. Wheels and prints a story in a rival paper. The real crook gets word about it and frames Clark further. However, Superman rescues Perry Jr. and uses super-ventriloquism to convince the boy of Clark’s innocence. The gang is finally captured when the fall victim to the radioactive gold which Superman used in place of the real cargo.
