Superman's x-ray vision is incorrectly shown to penetrate lead in this story.

Synopsis:
Superman saves the Earth by taking an atomic pile near meltdown into space where it explodes. When he returns to Earth, Superman discovers that his body has become radioactive. Anyone who comes near him will receive a lethal dose of radiation.

Crooks learn of Superman's condition and assume that the Man of Steel will be unable to stop them. However, Superman is still able to fight crime from a distance, and he captures several gangs. Then one of the gang's kidnaps Lois. To save her, Superman constructs a lead costume which completely covers his body. He then rescues Lois safely.

The radiation begins passing through the lead suit. When Superman interrupts a gang meeting, the crooks believe that the radiation from Superman's body will kill them. However, after arresting them, the Man of Steel informs the crooks that the lead suit absorbed the excess radiation. He is back to normal.
