Synopsis:
Blanding, a playwright, tries to kill himself in the office of the Daily Planet after an unfavorable review. Superman stops him, but Lois volunteers to help the man. The following day, Lois visits the city museum and falls victim to a sleeping curse which puts her in a coma.

Lois is taken to Dr. Vilodnya's sanitarium for care. However the doctor is the playwright, and Lois has been faking her trance. Lois intends to create publicity with her condition and build up Blanding's play. The phony doctor sends Superman on an errand to keep him from discovers Lois's true condition.

When Superman completes the impossible task of obtaining rare items needed to cure Lois, he is not permitted into the hospital. He enters as Clark, then exposes her hoax. Lois is embarrassed and leaves town. Superman then helps Blanding with his play and retrieves Lois to watch.
