Comments:
Sometime after this story Jon loses his memory and is found by Captain Olaf, the leader of a fishing village as recounted in Brave and the Bold #1.

Synopsis:
While battling a sea dragon, the Viking Prince's sword arm is wounded. The mark left behind brings with it a curse that causes his arm to become weak during the dragon's moon. Klagg the Red challenges Jon while he is weak. Jon survives the challenge, but seeks to rid himself of the curse.

Old Gorm tells Jon that he must remove the mark of the dragon from his arm. Despite numerous attempts, Jon is unable to break the curse. When Klagg challenges him again, Jon is able to hold on long enough for the dragon's moon to disappear. The Viking Prince then easily defeats his opponent.
