Synopsis:
Clark Kent visits a small suburb with Lois and finds they are celebrating Superman. Clark ditches Lois to make a rescue, but when he returns Lois accuses him of being the Man of Steel. Another man, Hal, who himself is accused of being Superman defends Clark and offers to prove that neither is Superman.

At the appointed time, Hal uses some chemicals to cause a dormant volcano to appear to be active. Superman appears to stop it, while Clark and Hal look on. This convinces Lois. However, Clark was really an amnesia victim, substituted for the real reporter.
