Synopsis:
Luke Folsum completes a correspondant course on detective work. He moves to Smallville to become a detective. Superboy is always around to catch criminals, so Luke is unable to find many assignments. Eventually Luke is hired by Hal Flint to follow Clark Kent. Luke follows Clark, then reports back to Flint.

Clark eventually deduces that Flint has detected traces of radium on Clark from his capture of two radium thieves as Superboy. Flint believes that Clark passes near a radium deposit while walking to school. Superboy tricks Flint into buying some worthless land that Flint had sold to a farmer. Luke is then forced to give up the detective business.
