Synopsis:
An 800 year old stone carving of Superboy is discovered on an archaeological dig. Superboy travels into the past to discover its origin. Superboy disguises himself as a local boy, Clark Brent, in order to meet the nearby townspeople. He meets Cedric, a boy thought to be crazy. Cedric believes he sees dragons. Superboy doesn't believe him until he sees a mechanical dragon himself.

Superboy traces the dragon back to King Armand. Cedric is the rightful king, and Armand was making Cedric appear crazy to disgrace him. When the scheme is exposed, Cedric is made the king. Armand escapes imprisonment and threatens to kill Cedric when Superboy leaves.

Superboy builds the stone statue of himself to help guard Cedric and keep Armand from carrying out his plans of assassination.
