Synopsis:
Matt Savage encounters Chief Loud Thunder and the Osage indians who demand a toll for Matt's herd to pass. Red pulls a gun on the indian chief which angers him. Matt refuses to pay the toll prompting Loud Thunder to stage several raids on the herd. Matt successfully stops the indian attack by creating a stampede.

Later Red sneaks into the indian camp and kidnaps Chief Loud Thunder. Matt helps him escape from the indian, then they bring the chief to the local sheriff. Red explains that Loud Thunder led an attack on the Starr wagon train twenty years earlier. Red was the only survivor of the massacre. He spent his life searching for the indian and now gets justice when Loud Thunder is sent to prison.
