Synopsis:
Matt Savage rides to the town of Broken Arrow to pick up supplies. On the way he rescues a lost calf from wolves. He is helped by prospector Hal Dawson who then follows Matt into town.

Broken Arrow is celebrating the birthday of Tom Slagle, the son of Maw Slagle who was lost as a boy years earlier during an indian raid. Dawson claims to be Slagle's son and stands to inherit her wealthy ranch. Maw Slagle does not believe Dawson's story, but Matt asks her not to tell him about her doubts.

Matt suspects that Dawson's partner is the real Tom Slagle. He rides to Rawhide Gulch and helps Slagle stop a pair of claim jumpers. Savage and Slagle then face off against Dawson who tries to kill his former partner. Matt stops him, and Dawson is arrested for fraud. Slagle is then reunited with his mother.
