Synopsis:
On Friday the 13th, Superboy tries to prove to the people of Smallville, that superstition is not to be believed. He breaks several common superstitions, before leaving to make a rescue.
Later, an old witch appears and uses her magic on Superboy. Superboy is powerless to stop her, but Superboy still refuses to believe in magic. The witch casts a spell on Lana Lang and removes Superboy’s powers.
A spy, who is in town to keep tabs on Superboy tells his countrymen, it is safe to launch their spy satellite with Superboy out of commission. They do so, but the witch collides with it and destroys it. At the Kent house, Martha is revealed to be the witch. Superboy set the entire scenario up to destroy the satellite. He then reveals to the town that the witch was merely an illusion.
