Clark Kent is approached by the butler of Henry Slade who believes that Clark is Superboy. He shows Clark a picture that shows Clark switching to his Superboy identity. Clark claims the picture was the result of a double exposure.

Henry believes Clark's excuse, but is disappointed because crooks are trying to steal another of Henry's pictures. He wanted Superboy's protection.

Clark secretly follows the crooks who also have a negative of the Superboy photo. Working from a distance so that his involvement won't be known, Superboy stops the crooks, destroys the negative, and captures Orchids Eddie. Orchids was in Henry's photo, though police believed him dead. His gang tried to retrieve the photo to prevent anyone from learning that he was still alive.
