Synopsis:
A test rocket is on display at the Smallville Planetarium. A malfunction causes the rocket to launch while a group of students including Clark and Lana are inside. Clark is unable to get away to rescue them as Superboy. When the rocket reaches the upper atmosphere it stalls, trapping the kids in space.

To prevent a panic, Lana suggests that the kids tell Superboy stories. The stories give Clark an idea that can save them without revealing his identity. Using his ingenuity, Clark is able to cause the rocket to restart. The students are returned to Earth without discovering Clark's secret.
