Synopsis:
While his class explores some caves to gather rock samples, Clark Kent sneaks away to handle a tornado. In his absence, Clark constructs a dummy made from bees wax. After handling the tornado as Superboy, Clark returns to the group. He is then kidnapped by three men who claim that he is worth a million dollars.

Clark plays along in order to learn why the men think he is valuable. While held prisoner, he is forced to secretly slip away to handle other emergencies. Eventually Clark discovers that the crooks were planning a jewel heist. The Clark Kent wax dummy used by Superboy was positioned in such a way that he would have seen the crooks. Having solved the mystery, Superboy stops the robbery.
