Synopsis:
When the Lang family is unexpectedly called out of town, Lewis Lang's half-brother Thaddeus comes to visit. Thaddeus begins offering his services to the people of Smallville to fix their problems. His ideas are farfetched, but Superboy makes them work in order to protect Lang's reputation.

Superboy then learns that the Langs consider Thaddeus a swindler. Having carried out his ideas, Superboy has unwittingly aided the swindler. When he goes to confront Thaddeus, Superboy discovers that Thaddeus did indeed intend to carry out his plans, but has sidetracked by new ideas. Superboy then helps Thaddeus finish his plans, earning the man the positive reputation he deserved.
