Synopsis:
Smallville's Timothy Marker dreams of playing football, but he is a terrible athlete. When he tries to help Superboy stop a robbery, Timothy earns a football tryout. Superboy feels that he needs to protect Timothy on the field and uses his powers to secretly help. Timothy is a success and earns a place on the team.

Superboy then explains that he helped protect Timothy, but he wasn't trying to encourage him to play. Timothy is discouraged, so Superboy promises to help get the coach to look at Timothy's playbook which has many well designed plays. After Superboy arranges for the plays to be used in practice, the coach awards Timothy an assistant student coach position on the team.
