Comments:
This story features the origin of Super-Monkey who stowed away in Kal-El’s rocket from Krypton. Since he is present in the rocket, Super-Monkey actually appears behind-the-scenes whenever the rocket is shown.

Super-Monkey is not named in this story, but is later called Beppo. Beppo is the name of the organ grinder’s monkey in this story.

This story is presented as an "Untold Tale of Superboy".

Synopsis:
While visiting the monkey cages at the zoo, the Kent family recalls the events that brought a monkey from Krypton to Earth. One of Jor-El’s test animals stowed away in Kal-El’s rocket when it was sent to Earth. The monkey gained super powers just like Superboy in Earth’s environment. It escaped the rocket and went to live in the jungle.

Sometime later, the monkey’s super vision revealed a flying baby. The monkey went to play with the boy and at first was not seen which resulted in the boy, Superbaby, to get punished for the monkey’s pranks. The monkey was scared into space by some fireworks and got lost. Clark recalls that the monkey did return to Earth sometime later.
