Comments:
This story takes places prior to Lex Luthor losing his hair as shown in the first story of Adventure Comics #271.

Synopsis:
When Superboy smashes an alien space probe, he is exposed to Red Kryptonite. This time the effect causes his hair to fall out. Lana sees him bald as Clark Kent, so he must wear a wig as Superboy to protect his secret. Superboy goes through several wigs, as they are regularly destroyed by his super-feats. Clark claims that a hair tonic caused his hair to fall out, so Lana tests the tonic on a cat. Fortunately, Superboy uses the cat hair for a wig, so when Lana sees the hairless cat, her suspicions are left unsubstantiated. After the Red K effect wears off, Superboy flies to another world in which the atmosphere allows his hair to grow quickly.
