Synopsis:
Lois disguises herself and enters a beauty pageant to get a story from Rex Koven, one of the judges. Though she makes herself ugly, Lois still wins the contest. When she reveals her disguise, Koven accuses her of fraud and sues her.

Lois is brought to trial with Superman acting as her lawyer. The case is televised, and Koven uses a hidden method of transmitting information to members of an international crime syndicate. Lois reads Koven's lips, learns his scheme, and alerts Superman. The Man of Steel is able to stop three robberies set up by Koven, then expose the crook. The case against Lois is dropped, and Koven is arrested.
