Synopsis:
Professor Arnold Hugo escapes from jail and steals a shipment of radium. Using the radium Hugo creates a spray gun that turns the Martian Manhunter radioactive. Fearing that the radioactivity will kill people, J'onn must avoid coming into contact with them. However, when he assumes his civilian identity as Marco Xavier, the radioation goes away.

As Xavier, J'onn follows Hugo's henchmen and learns of their plan to blackmail a millionaire. J'onn substitutes himself for the millionaire, and ironically Hugo himself gives J'onn the cure for his radioactivity. Captured, Hugo is angry that he was responsible for his own undoing.
