Synopsis:
Mark Merlin investigates reports of strange creatures that have appeared following an earthquake. He discovers a fissure in the side of a mountain and enters the cavern with Elsa. The path leads to a hidden valley filled with strange plants which was inaccessible prior to the earthquake.

Mark and Elsa find a hole in the ground from which the creatures emerged. When Elsa breathes the flower pollen, she begins to side with the creatures and plans to take over the surface world. Mark tries to rescue her and break her free from the spell of the pollen. Using the strange plants Mark succeeds in his goal and gets Elsa out of the valley before another tremor seals the entrance.
