Synopsis:
Hal Jordan visits Solar City where he intends to sell a new toy line to Wilson Chain Stores. During his stay he meets the director of a school for the handicapped. He decides to donate his earnings to the school. However, Hal has competition for the sale from Olivia Reynolds, a saleswoman from a rival company.

After making his sales pitch, Hal discovers that all electricity in the city has failed. He uses his power ring to thwart disaster at a hospital and to stop looters. Eventually the problem gets worse. People start to collapse. Hal traces the problem to fissure deep inside the Earth which is emitting radiation. Green Lantern closes the fissure and restores power to the city.

Hal then learns that he lost the competition for the toy sale. However, the city rewards Green Lantern for his help. He starts to turn down the money, but instead asks that it be given to the school fund.
