Synopsis:
Hal Jordan visits Barry and Iris for dinner. Iris invites a new friend Olivia Reynolds. Hal has already met Olivia, who works as a salesperson for a rival toy company. Despite the rivalry, Hal begins to like Olivia. During dinner his power ring accidentally tries to probe her mind based on a stray thought from Hal. The probe is met by feedback.

Barry and Hal leave the house to discuss things. Just then an alien invasion begins. The aliens appear to be science fiction stereotypes. In fact the leader of the aliens Glabr is merely using the attack as a diversion to prevent Flash and Green Lantern from discovering that Olivia has a U-Mind, a rare brain condition that generates life force for his people.

Barry and Hal are unable to beat the invading Mogrians who are working for Glabr. However, despite Glabr's instructions to halt the attack, the Mogrians rebel. The attack is now a real invasion. Glabr then contacts Flash and GL who find themselves powerless. Glabr helps them mentally contact Olivia who restores their powers.

Flash and Green Lantern then defeat the Mogrians. After the battle Hal uses his power ring to remove the memory from Olivia's mind. Glabr explains that the person possessing the U-Mind must remain unaware of their condition in order for it to generate life force. Glabr then departs and returns to his own planet.
