Synopsis:
Dinah and Larry enter a drug store and find the druggist has been murdered. Dinah leaves the store to find the police, then returns as Black Canary. Before she and Larry can discover why the man was killed, the murderers return to dispose of the body. The crooks win the fight, leaving behind only one lead, a newspaper article concerning a topaz brooch.
Black Canary and Larry attend a public charity event where the brooch is worn by Mrs. Ronald Gorham. When the crooks steal the brooch, Black Canary chases them. They try to escape in a plane, but the heroine forces them down, where they are apprehended. After they're captured, Black Canary learns that the murdered druggist was their fence.
