Synopsis:
Grodd once again escapes from Gorilla City; this time with the help of his quadromobile. Once free of his prison, Grodd uses a evolution-accelerator on himself to assume the form of a modern man with a super-brain.

Weeks later, Flash is still unable to locate Grodd, but he learns from Iris West that a new man, Drew Drowden, is up for the man of the year award. The other nominee is the Flash.

Drowden is a man who appeared from nowhere and made a fortune from the stock market. He has constructed a factory with a purpose unknown to anyone. The purpose is to create a pill giving Drowden a mind over matter ability.

Flash investigate a strange police report near the Drowden factory and is attacked by Drowden. Suddenly Drowden reverts to his previous form, that of Grodd. In his gorilla form Grodd is unable to use his new power. He attempts to use the evolution-accelerator on himself once again but is prevented from doing so by the Flash. Flash captures Grodd and returns him to Gorilla City.
