Synopsis:
A bearded and beaten Clark Kent stumbles into the office of the Daily Planet where another Clark Kent is working. The bearded Kent uses an x-ray gun to reveal the other Clark's costume under his clothes. The bearded Clark claims that Superman had imprisoned him and taken his place as Clark Kent.

The two Clark's leave the Daily Planet and visit Superman's Fortress, where Superman shows the bearded Clark that he is the real Kent. He speculates that the bearded Clark came through a dimensional warp from a parallel world.

Superman takes the other Clark back to his own world where they are met by an evil Superman. A battle ensues between the two Supermen with the evil one apparently triumphing. The evil Superman then destroys Metropolis.

He then forces the unseen observers from the Superman Revenge Squad to reveal themselves. This Superman is the real Superman. The other Man of Steel and all the residents of Metropolis were lifeless duplicates created by the Revenge Squad. Their plan was to delay and confuse Superman while they imprison him with an impenetrable force field. Superman realized that his doppleganger was a robot and destroyed them. He manages to escape the trap just before the force field closes.

Superman then returns to his own dimension. He then uses a projector to explain how a Superman costume appeared beneath his clothes. With the explanation, his identity remains a secret.
