This story is continued from the third story of Adventure Comics #427 and continues in the second story of Adventure Comics #432.

Synopsis:
Following his escape from the pirate ship now commanded by the French woman Denise, Captain Fear swims to shore. He is met and captured by a group of men. Once they have him tied up, he meets their leader which turns out to be Denise. The island he swam to is her headquarters. Rather than keep him around Denise sells Captain Fear into slavery.

Aboard the slave ship, Captain Fear speaks to the other slaves and starts a mutiny. The revolt is unsuccessful. As punishment, Captain Fear is whipped and left in the ship's hold. When a storm strikes the ship's hull breaks. Captain Fear swims away, free at last.

He swims to the island that was once his home. He is quickly found by a settler who explains that all the natives were killed trying to resist the settlers. Captain Fear is then made into a slave again.
