Synopsis:
Superman receives word that a mysterious city called Samarkist exists in the himalayas. He visits Samarkist and meets its leader, a descendant of Kublai Khan. However bandits have also found the city. They attack an explorer who can expose their plan to take over the city, so Superman attacks them. The bandits escape, and Superman is arrested.

The Khan sentences Superman to death, but his men are unable to inflict harm upon his body. When the bandits return, they shoot the Khan's daughter. Superman helps her and brings her a doctor. The Khan then pardons Superman, who returns with the story for the Daily Planet.
