Synopsis:
Superman rescues the lone surviving crewman of a damaged alien ship. The alien belongs to a race of people living on a world the Man of Steel just visited. Intrigued by the alien, Superman returns to the planet which is now devoid of life. A search of the planet reveals evidence of the Wordbringer, Hfuhruhurr, who once came to Earth and destroyed the bodies of the people in Trudeau, South Dakota.

Almost a year after the Trudeau disaster, the military gives a tour to reporters including Lois Lane. General Ripley claims that the townspeople were killed by toxic gas released in a train crash. Lois uncovers the truth when she discovers the Wordbringer's alien technology underneath the town.

Back in outer space, Superman tracks down Hfuhruhurr's ship. The vessel is enormous in size. As Superman discovers, the ship is used to contain an unfathomable number of disembodied brains from a variety of species.
