Comments:
Unknown to Superboy, Pete Ross learns his secret identity in this story.
Synopsis:
Pete Ross renews his friendship with Clark Kent, and Clark allows Pete to meet Superboy which is his secret identity. Later when Clark and Pete go camping, Clark must change to Superboy in order to handle an emergency. He believes that Pete is asleep in the tent, so covered by darkness he takes off as Superboy. However, a bolt of lightning in the sky lights up the area and awakens Pete. He sees his friend change into Superboy and learns Clark’s secret.
Pete decides not to tell Clark about this knowledge and secretly helps his friend when an emergency arises and Clark must leave again. Pete finds the secret entrance to the Kent basement and sees the Superboy robots therein. When one of the robots is unable to catch some bank robbers, Pete disguises himself and catches them. Superboy believes that the robot handled the situation, not his best friend.
