Synopsis:
With the departure of Chop Chop, the Blackhawks are assigned a new member to act as his replacement. Upon the recommendation of Winston Churchill, Theodore Gaynor, a U.S. Marine, is selected. Gaynor proves capable, but he is utterly humorless and ruthless in combat which concerns Chuck.
Meanwhile, Professor Merson has escaped from British custody with the help of a Nazi agent surgically altered to look like Blackhawk. The Blackhawks attempt to track down the impostor and Merson with him. When one of Merson's machines shows up in London, most of the team heads for Britain to protect Chruchill.
Blackhawk continues the search for Merson alone. He succeeds in finding the inventor and recapturing him. In the meantime the Blackhawks have disabled Merson's machine in London. When the Blackhawk impostor grabs Churchill, Gaynor shoots him dead. Churchill then arranges to pay Merson to switch his allegiance. Blackhawk decides to go undercover by pretending to be his own impostor.
