Comments:
This story includes several pages of a Detached Service Diary back story involving Chop Chop.
Synopsis:
The Blackhawks receive an emergency call from China concerning their former teammate Chop Chop. The team heads East where they find the countryside devastated by a Japanese super weapon. Virginia Mueller, war correspondent, is also on the scene. They can't find Chop Chop, but they do find his diary which documents his arrival in China.
Chop Chop has been captured by the Japanese. He is able to escape. He then follows the super weapon which is a tank styled to look like a dragon. The dragon attacks the Blackhawks. With Chop Chop's help the team lures it into a building loaded with explosives. When the building explodes, the super weapon is also destroyed.
In the aftermath, the Blackhawks realize that the Japanese have lured them here intentionally. Chop Chop returns to the team. Blackhawk asks Mueller not to print the story until they can investigate how the Japanese were able to manipulate intelligence.
