Synopsis:
Gunner and Sarge win a 2-day pass and are shipped off an island via a PT boat. During the trip, the boat encounters an enemy destroyer. The two marines and Pooch are thrown overboard. They avoid attacks by an enemy sub and a fighter plane, before hitching a ride on an enemy seaplane.

From the air Gunner and Sarge drop grenades into the smokestack of the Japanese destroyer. The ship is crippled. The marines then dive back into the water where they are picked up by boat and returned to the island. The next time they are given a pass, Gunner and Sarge refuse to accept it. They prefer to stay on the dry land.
