Synopsis:
Jonah Hex is nearby when the Gallagher Boys derail and rob a train. Hex tries to stop them, but he ends up being trapped in one of the train cars. When the sheriff arrives, Jonah is mistaken for one of the gang and arrested.

Meanwhile the Gallagher Boys evade capture by hiding out with a family of homesteaders. The family hates the railroad men, so they are sympathetic to the bandits. When Ben Gallagher receives a letter from Virginia offering a hefty reward for killing Hex, he decides to break the bounty hunter out of jail.

Debbie, the daughter of the homesteaders, visits the jail and distracts the guard. This allows Hex to escape his cell. She then leads Jonah back to her house where the Gallagher Boys are waiting to ambush him. When the settlers discover the true nature of the bandits, they switch sides to help Hex. He kills most of the bandits, then returns to town to clear his name.
